There are not a lot of Dutch fans at Union Berlin. And even less who write books about the club. So it is not entirely surprising journalists land in my mailbox when they are interested to make items about the subject.
Here are some videos and articles where I and others talk about the club.
Articles
Union qualifying for the Champions League was of course big news, and the reason for several outlets to talk to me and other friends behind the Union In Englisch fansite (I am also a regular guest in the podcast Mattuschka’s Right Peg):
- BBC: ‘Terror football from Köpenick’
- The Guardian (coming soon)
- The Athletic (coming soon)
Around the launch of my Dutch book about Union in August 2023 were several interviews (in Dutch):
- Trouw: Hoe Union trouw aan DDR-wortels blijft
- Brabants Dagblad: Hoe een Brabander zijn hart verloor aan club in Berlijn
- NPO Radio 1 (Dutch public broadcaster), live interview on national radio
